13/27 Commercial and Industrial Printing: Promotion of C1100 Series

In Commercial and Industrial Printing, our plan for the second half of the year was an aggressive promotion of sales of the bizhub PRESS C1100 series, a new addition to our high-end segment. However, in Europe, North America and throughout the world, we spent a lot of time from implementation of the measures to conclusion of agreements. The achievement ratio was 84% in Europe and 66% in North America.Medium-speed production printing systems (MPPs), are a core field for us and a medium-to-long term growth driver. Market share in this field is 52% in Europe, as seen at the lower left of the page, and 53% in North America, lower right, so we are firmly established as the market leader. Although we tried not to be dragged into price competition, it did in fact affect revenue.
