This is an overview of Industrial Business. Revenue declined 6% YoY to 106.0 billion yen. While revenue for Optical Systems for Industrial use were basically unchanged, revenue decreased 12% in Performance Materials.In the Optical Systems for Industrial Use, revenue grew, partly due to acquisitions in Measuring Instruments, but in the area of optical components such as lenses for compact cameras and digital camera lenses, revenue declined. Although profit ratio was 16.1%, operating profit was 17 billion yen, due to a decrease in income by Performance Materials.
