19/20 Creating Businesses for the IoT Era with Higher Profit:Operating Profit Ratio of 15% or greater

Based on this concept of cyber-physical systems, we will attempt to create businesses in the following types of domains. In our mainstay Business Technologies Business, we will create new MFPs as office service platforms. These will be devices for the IoT era that will incorporate business intelligence and analytical systems. Other services will be integrated into the "MFP as an Office Service Platform" domain shown in the top center of the slide. In the same manner, we will be creating new businesses on the basis of cyber-physical systems, monitoring can be applied to high security, marketing, and manufacturing domains, while also linking our technologies to the domain of autonomous driving support. We will develop businesses for customers in the manufacturing industry based on what we have been putting into practice in digital manufacturing, and we will organically link the themes we have pursued over the past two and a half years in BIC to IoT business creation. We will leverage our strengths and allocate the resources required for business development in the drug discovery and clinical trial support field, which we will expand significantly over the next three to five years. At the same time, we will pursue primary care enhancement, including healthcare at home and workflow transformations.
