This page shows the condition of sales volume of main products in the Industrial Business. While sales of TAC film, replacement lenses for DSLR cameras and color meters increased steadily, optical pickup lenses for Blu-ray Discs (BDs) and glass substrates for HDDs declined year on year, and we recorded an impairment loss based on an understanding that the market is not expected to grow going forward. On the other hand, design technology for pickup lenses for optical disks is one of our important core technologies and related internal resources have been reallocated within the Group, which includes incubation in new business.
