The reason why the analog field has decreased is mainly that purchased materials, which account for roughly 20% of domestic net sales, have fallen since last year. This is not a factor that has an enormous impact on our consolidated profit.
On the other hand, for digital products, on which we are concentrating, net sales have increased. Another reason why profit has not increased overall is that, while the sales volume of cassette-type DR has increased amid tough market conditions, diagnostic ultrasound systems have not fully taken off, and the sales volume of digital products has, from the viewpoint of the original plan, been weak.
Analog film has continued to record strong sales in countries such as China, India, and Brazil.
