The following is a supplement to the status of each business.
In the office unit, sales of color units in Europe, the mainstay market, grew 10% thanks to the effects of new color Seg2/3 products.
In North America, sales of new Seg3 products rose 9%, but this was offset by a decline of 9% in sales of mainstay Seg4 products due in part to restrained purchases prior to the launch of new products.
Although sales in China remained sluggish, sales through partners increased significantly.
Sales of IT services solution unit recovered to an increase in real terms, excluding forex impact.
