In the Healthcare Business, net sales increased slightly and operating income increased significantly. This was due to the fact that an increase in sales of digital products offset a decline in sales of film products in industrialized nations. In analyzing the year-on-year increase in operating income, the two main reasons were the considerable reduction in expenses in the previous fiscal year and an increase in investment to stimulate growth, including positioning this business as a growth business from this fiscal year and expanding sales of digital products overseas. These factors outweighed the adverse impact of an increase in costs in the amount of ¥1.2 billion.
