Net sales in this field have been increasing steadily.
In the industrial inkjet field, due to the slump in construction market conditions in China, net sales have fallen slightly on the impact from ceramic printing. In the medium term, however, net sales in that field have shown solid growth, and net sales of textile printers have grown according to plan.
In MPM and print services, a field that we are focusing on, we provide marketing-related consulting that ultimately leads to an increase in digital print volume. Net sales in the third quarter were ¥12.9 billion.
On the other hand, due to the effect of new products, net sales in our core production print field were up 22% year on year, reaching ¥40.4 billion. There is no change to our view that the print-volume-based consumables profit from increases in MIF will be a growth driver in fiscal 2015 and fiscal 2016 as well.
