This slide provides further details of the three phases with respect to individual business segments.
In the office services field of business, phase 0 entails enhancing operations involving OPS and GMA and strengthening business involving solutions by industry type and business category, while at the same time investing in next-generation engines for A3-color MFPs in the latter half of this fiscal year. These are areas of business that involve strategic products that require increased R&D expenses.
In phase 1, we will link hybrid solutions drawing on ICT services to tangible results, while steadily performing managed content services (MCS). This will enable us to maximize color print volume (PV) by increasing numbers of machines in the field (MIF).
Nevertheless, because color PV will eventually reach a point of saturation, we envision that phase 2 in FY2017 and beyond will involve achieving growth that is not dependent on color PV and initiatives entailing a new-generation office platform, made possible by further developing our MFPs.
In the commercial and industrial printing field, phase 0 involves launching sales of mid-range flagship models, while also laying a global framework for marketing print management (MPM) services through acquisitions and other such initiatives.
Phase 1 involves this fiscal year's initial introduction of the KM-1 inkjet press, which constitutes a transformation with respect to traditional offset printing. We are now on course to achieving commercial sales of the KM-1 in FY2016.
Phase 2 involves further development of our MPM services to ensure that they provide greater value, while at the same time progressing into fields of business involving industrial applications entailing paper, textiles, labels and packaging, thereby also drawing on our tie-up with MGI Digital Graphic Technology. Phase 2 also involves full-fledged commercialization of digital marketing services such as those manifested with respect to our acquisition of Indicia Group Limited, while also pursuing steady expansion in phase 2 of new business opportunities with the Business Innovation Center (BIC) that we began promoting last year.
