Achieve profitable growth for the Overseas business next fiscal year. The key is to grow sales in China and the USA, our focus areas.
China - chilled milk and yogurt

 - Net sales grew significantly in H1, increased by 75% based on local currency.

 - Our strategy is to promote premium and value added products, not participate in price wars.

 - Sales channel is modern supermarkets and convenience stores in areas with purchasing power. We expand the number of stores handling our products in Shanghai and other parts of Eastern China.

 - We will expand the sales area as well.

USA - confectionery

 - Net sales increased by 1% in H1 based on local currency.

 - Chocolate snack sales were favorable.

Began local production of Hello Panda. Compared to production in Singapore, this will decrease cost - effective production and distribution.
Increase sales aggressively.

 - Have long and good business relations between DF Stauffer Biscuit Company, our 100% subsidiary, and retailers. Stauffer has a strong reputation among retail outlets.

Utilize these sales routes to expand sales of Meiji Brand products with high added-value, Hello Panda, Yan Yan and Chocorooms.

 - Reduced number of Stauffer's Animal Cracker product lineups to improve profitability.
