The rate of revenue increase in the second quarter decelerated compared to the first quarter, at 4%. IT service solutions showed a revenue increase of 15%. Konica Minolta is placing emphasis on global major accounts (GMA), but will not carry the struggle over to prices. The strategy is instead to win over our major customers with solutions, and the resulting GMA figures increased 20% year on year. However, office products as a whole were affected by the decision not to follow suit in the increasingly aggressive pricing offensives on large contracts. Second quarter revenue, therefore, increased only 3% year on year.
