The full-year forecasts up to now have projected revenue of ¥1,100 billion, operating profit of ¥77.0 billion and profit for the year of ¥50.0 billion. The first half results, however, showed some weakness with regard to Company plans. In the second half, steps have been taken in considerable detail for the development, production and marketing stages of elements that will make a positive contribution. The same is true of measures to strengthen business. Although initial plans are being carried through, however, it has been judged that performance for the full year will probably not manage to make up for the shortfall in the first half. Therefore full-year forecasts have been revised to revenue of ¥1,080 billion, operating profit of ¥73.0 billion and profit for the year of ¥47.0 billion. Note, however, that in comparison with fiscal year 2014, revenue, operating profit and profit for the year have increased 8%, 11% and 15%, respectively. Konica Minolta is determined to take steps to strengthen operations in the second half so that the conclusion will exceed these figures.
At the same time, fiscal year 2016 will be the final year of the Medium Term Business Plan, and the commitment made to achieve an operating profit of ¥90.0 billion yen will be carried through. The somewhat severe conditions faced now will be cast aside, and the road map leading to realization of the Medium Term Business Plan in fiscal year 2016 will be given concrete form.
Regarding the policy of strengthening consolidated performance and making investments for the future while bolstering shareholder returns, given the prospects for the full year, it has been judged that there is no need to change this policy. Dividends for the year will be ¥30 as initially planned; that is, a dividend increase of ¥10. The decision has been made for the mid-term, as well, and last year's ¥10 dividend will be raised by ¥5 for a dividend of ¥15.
