Shown here are the respective plans for the shift to new A3 color products in the second half on a volume basis for Europe, Japan, and North America. For example, the graph on the left for Europe shows a plan of 60%, but for 3Q alone it was 38%, while the target for 4Q is 85%. In Japan and North America, the 4Q target is set at 54-55%. Europe is higher because the product breakdown was different from that of Japan and North America. Europe's sales structure includes relatively more low- and medium-speed models so the coverage becomes wider when shifting to new models. Japan and North America are weighted towards high-segment models, so we are aiming at about 55%. In each case, 3Q progress was weak at a little under 40%, with sell-through of existing products taking longer than estimated by management.
Looking at the latest market data available, the A3 color MFP share in value terms is 20% in Europe and 18% in North America.
