Key issues in the second half of fiscal 2015: Businesses other than Business Technologies Business

In the Healthcare Business the quarter proceeded at a good pace. 4Q is usually the quarterly peak in sales, but ultrasound in particular has been well received in Japan, especially for orthopedic surgery applications, and the business is in full swing going into the final quarter. In North America, newly acquired Viztek LLC has been included in the Group's results since being consolidated in October and is contributing to revenue and profit according to plan.
In the measuring instruments field, in addition to a major customers in display field, projects to win more large accounts in IT and automotive are progressing, and harvesting this effort is an important theme, along with cooperation with newly acquired Radiant Vision Systems, LLC to expand sales of manufacturing inspection solutions.
In the challenging TAC film market, the water-resistant-type VA-TAC is achieving customer recognition step by step and the benefits of full-scale mass production should emerge in 4Q. Thin-film TAC is also seeing acceleration of its business expansion.
