The Advanex Group's net sales to the automotive sector have grown to become its core market, accounting for some 40% of net sales on a consolidated basis. It is against this background that the Group is establishing a new automotive-parts plant, determined to provide even greater satisfaction in quality, cost and delivery (QCD) to its customers in the auto sector. Based on a wide range of factors, including the Groupfs extensive roster of customers in northern Saitama Prefecture and the regionfs relatively low disaster risk, Advanex has acquired a plot in Honjo, Saitama Prefecture and is building a plant on the site. In addition to transferring production equipment from other plants in Japan, the Group is introducing fresh industrial machinery. The plant will manufacture components such as wire springs, plate springs and deep drawers. One of our targets in this new plant is to achieve a gsmart factory,h a plant that is fully automated and uses a minimal number of personnel.
At Honjo Plant, Advanex pursuing optimum quality and productivity. The new facility will incorporate research and development functions, and plans call for certification under the ISO/TS16949 standards for quality management systems in the automotive industry.
