Expansion from commercial printing to industrial digital printing

In the growth areas, I will present two slides. The first concerns the full-scale transformation of the commercial offset printing business. This field is expanding from paper-based commercial printing to industrial printing based on all kinds of media. The size of the market is indicated here, but the digitization ratio is less than 5%. For digitization, the evolution of digital equipment is also important, but I think that to digitize the world of commercial printing, it is necessary to improve the ROI of digital marketing for the companies placing the orders. In other words, and this is a topical issue among companies, we must improve the ROI of marketing services as they shift to a multimedia-based approach. We have the capability to carry out such solution services, and we will offer not only cyber proposals, but also the ability to create marketing materials in the real world, such as promotional goods, digital labels, digital packages and digital textiles on demand, and otherwise carrying out marketing activities that are actually visible in real life. This combination is our strategy.
Our competitors are also well aware that this commercial and industrial printing is a growth area, but there are limits to the strategy of saying "This is a new product, please buy it," so over the next three years we will give concrete form to the transformation of marketing at the companies placing the orders.
