Cumulative 3Q revenue for fiscal year 2017 was ¥750.3 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7%. All business segments achieved higher revenue. Operating profit was ¥29.1 billion, and due in part to ¥7.8 billion in patent-related special factors in the optical field included in the same period of the previous fiscal year, profit decreased 16% year on year. We believe that the improved profitability of business up to 2Q together with our company’s solid measures to strengthen our business portfolio contributed to the effective increase in profit in 3Q.
