We improved our product mix in the field, which helped to increase profitability. Monochrome printer sales were down 1% year on year, but the launch of new products led to a 9% increase in the second half. Non-hardware sales growth was still positive after factoring out foreign exchange in existing fields that stem from print volume. Sales in the new domain IT service and solutions rose a strong 35%. As a result of all these factors, net sales for the office field overall rose 4% after factoring out foreign exchange.
In the production print field, sales of both color and monochrome printers rose, while non-hardware sales grew 9% in existing fields and doubled in new services. As a result, net sales grew by a strong 21% year on year after factoring out foreign exchange.
