As a strategic alliance, we will establish a joint-venture company and push ahead with the OLED lighting business together. The name of the joint venture will be KONICA MINOLTA PIONEER OLED, INC., and its head office will be in Hamamatsucho, Tokyo. We expect the joint-venture company to begin operation in around May 2017.
The joint-venture company’s capital will be 490 million yen, with each partner taking a 50% stake. The JV will be an equity-method affiliate of each of the partners.
